The ice on March 21st. With just over 2 months to go, it is continuously interesting to note how the ice situation changes and develops. The ice is still forming in the inner parts of the fjords on the west and north sides of Spitsbergen, and it is still consolidating in the southern end of the Hinlopen and somewhat in Storfjorden.
