Posting Video Clips

Posting Video Clips in WordPress takes only a couple of minutes. It’s always good to have a paragraph at the top, which introduces the videoclip.

Example 1 – Videoclip from YouTube

Open this videoclip in a new window.
Click “share” / “embed” and copy the code.
Go to the html window and paste in the code below this paragraph
The videoclip dimensions are 560 / 315 pixels
Recalculate the dimensions for our window, which is 613px wide
Change the videoclip dimensions to 613 / 345 pixels

Example 2 – Videoclip from Vimeo

Open this videoclip in a new window.
Click “embed” and copy the code.
Go to the html window and paste in the code below this paragraph
The videoclip dimensions are 400 / 225 pixels
Recalculate the dimensions for our window, which is 613px wide
Change the videoclip dimensions to 613 / 345 pixels

Some videos maybe copyright protected and may only be viewable in one country. For example many BBC videos will only be viewable within the UK. Another similar example is PBS videos, which are only viewable in North America.

Since our website has global coverage it is not recommended to post such videos. It can only lead to frustration if the content is not viewable.
