For Jackie

As the world watched,
You lived your eagle life.
A loving mother,
A caring wife.
Nesting, hunting,
Doing what eagles do…
The world fell in love with you.
A world torn apart,
You did unite…
Now we mourn
As you lost your final fight.
Rest on angel wings up high…
Fare thee well…
Too hard to say goodbye

I will keep following up to see if they can find out what happened. This loss is highly unusual. Fly high over the rainbow, Jackie; because of you, we all learned so much more aout your magnificent species and nature in general.

RIP, Jackie. What a sad ending to an otherwise normal eagle’s life. It is critical that scientists find the true cause of her death. Please let us know if they find the cause of her illness. Thank you.
