I have a fondness for Marbled Gowdwits (Limosa fedoa) because of theirpink and black bills and plumage patterns. They also look very elegant walking, standing, feeding and in flight.<\/p>\n

This Marbled Godwit had been feeding on the mudflats of a tidal lagoon at Fort De Soto’s north beach, I like that I was able to get a nice catchlight, a drop of water on the tip of the bill and the shorebird’s shadow.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The coloring of Marbled Godwits make me think of cinnamon, dark chocolate, butterscotch, caramel, Irish Cream and Kahlua.<\/p>\n
