The Eurasian Tree Sparrow is an introduced species in the Philippines, probably brought into the country through the galleon trade when these birds somehow joined the voyages. They populated and are now common birds found everywhere.<\/p>\n

The Paddyfield Pipit, on the other hand, is a resident bird. It can also be found in other countries, but they do not migrate. This bird is also called Richard’s Pipit after the French naturalist Monsieur Richard of Lunéville. These are two of the more than 600 bird species found in the Philippines.<\/p>\n
