{"id":2056210,"date":"2019-02-11T18:00:46","date_gmt":"2019-02-11T17:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/walkthewilderness.net\/?p=10223"},"modified":"2024-11-03T13:16:55","modified_gmt":"2024-11-03T12:16:55","slug":"african-lion-vs-cape-buffalo-in-maasai-mara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusingonwildlife.com\/news\/african-lion-vs-cape-buffalo-in-maasai-mara\/","title":{"rendered":"African Lion vs Cape Buffalo in Maasai Mara"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We started our morning game drive in Maasai Mara with the amazing sighting of the African Elephant, which accidentally came our way when we went looking for the Leopard, that we had sighted the previous evening.<\/p>\n<p>We then headed towards the area where we had seen the African Lion brothers feasting on the Cape Buffalo carcass. When we got there, we saw that there was just one Lion resting.<\/p>\n<p>On closer examination, we realised he was guarding the left overs of the carcass.<\/p>\n<article id=\"post-10223\" class=\"et_pb_post post-10223 post type-post status-publish format-standard has-post-thumbnail hentry category-africa category-animals category-endangered-species-2 category-featured category-kenya category-maasai-mara tag-africa tag-african-lion tag-animal-pictures tag-animals tag-cape-buffalo tag-kenya tag-maasai-mara tag-wildlife-photos\">After a few minutes, the African Lion let his guard down and hit the snooze button.
