When the earth mother created this planet,
\nFor man and all creatures
\nA garden was borne, of her beautiful features
\nA haven of habitats varied,
\nNurtured with care
\nEmbraced by the blue green of the sea
\nThe blue greys of sky and air
\nThe deep browns of the mountains
\nThe harsh desert sands
\nIcy whitish extremes
\nOf the vast frozen lands
\nAnd now she sits watching
\nHer world slip away
\nThe animals she cherishes
\nNearing their last days.<\/p>\n
