The Rufous-bellied Thrush is the bird symbol of Brazil. His melodious song earned him honors as the writer Golçalves Dias, that in Portugal in 1843, wrote the poem Song of the Exile, where it says: “Minha terra tem palmeiras onde canta o sabiá, as aves que aqui gorjeiam, não gorjeiam como lá …” The writing refers to the longing for his homeland, Brazil.<\/p>\n

In Brazil it is known as Thrush Orange because of the color of his chest, orange.<\/p>\n
