A Pennsylvania family is facing serious legal consequences after being charged with multiple wildlife violations.<\/p>\n
Carl and Carroll Nelson have both been charged with a first-degree misdemeanor, which carries a potential penalty of up to five years in prison and a fine of $10,000.<\/p>\n
Mark Nelson faces even more severe charges, including a third-degree felony, with penalties that could result in up to seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine.<\/p>\n
The charges stem from an investigation initiated by the Pennsylvania Game Commission. After receiving a tip, authorities launched a probe into allegations that the Nelsons were illegally hunting large whitetail bucks for several years.<\/p>\n
Nearly 50 mounts and antler sets, described as trophy class, were seized from the family\u2019s possession by the commission.<\/p>\n
The Nelsons are accused of a range of violations, including taking deer out of season, hunting at night, and exceeding the legal limit of one buck per hunter per year.<\/p>\n
