Stunning pictures from England show hungry birds feasting on sunflower seeds in a gorgeous autumn scene.<\/p>\n

Photographer Andrew Fusek Peters captured the magical moment from his kitchen in Shropshire, as the birds dove into the seeds to release them from fading sunflowers.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s basic botanical biology happening before our eyes,\u201d he mused in an interview with SWNS news agency.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the sunflowers go, they start setting seeds and that\u2019s when we get sunflower seeds\u2014one of the main things the birds eat\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Among the multiple seed-eating bird species that are a natural part of the landscape in the West Midlands are the great tit, Parus major (above), and the European greenfinch, Chloris chloris (see the pair below).<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t get anything more natural than them plucking them from the plant itself. It\u2019s magical.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was very happy with the photos, full of rich autumn colors.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s one where the seeds are all falling out the plant and it\u2019s just beautiful.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was inside the kitchen. The light comes around and in the afternoon that\u2019s when you get these wonderful shots.<\/p>\n
