Thought There Was A Prize In Here

As wildlife photographers, we all strive to capture that perfect moment. Sometimes, the moment is dramatic, sometimes the moment is awe inspiring, sometimes the moment is scary and sometimes the moment is just plain funny.

At this time of year when we all have so much going on, I know that things can get a bit stressful and crazy. So in an attempt to put smiles on your faces I thought I would share one of my favorite and funny wildlife moments I managed to capture in a photo.

I watched this small squirrel frantically destroy a box of candy Nerds. He was just racing thru the candy, spilling it everywhere. He wasn’t even eating any. It really seemed as though he was just trying to get to the prize at the bottom of the box. Well, as most of you know, there are no prizes in Nerds candy. The dejected critter eventually tossed the box aside and ran off. It was really funny to watch and the attached photo captured the moment perfectly.

I hope you all have a tremendously blessed Christmas Season. Don’t get too wrapped up in the chaos…take a moment to sit back, relax and laugh about something. I hope my photo has put a smile on your face. I encourage and challenge all of you to follow suit and post some of your funnier photographic moments for all of us to enjoy.
