Whether you are an avid birder, or an obsessed nature photographer as I am, the Bird River Migratory Bird Refuge can be a wonderful location to observe and photograph a wide variety of birds. Over the years I have photographed at the Refuge many times. My most recent visit was in April 2013 and all of the photos you will see here were taken on this recent trip. In just over two days I was able to photograph 27 species of birds.<\/p>\n

The Refuge is located near Brigham City, Utah in the western United States. Just west of I-15 at exit 363, you will find the visitor education center. Continue west 12 miles and you will find a 12-mile auto tour route. The vast majority of my photography at the Refuge has been done from my vehicle along the auto tour route, however, I have also photographed along the road between the visitor center to the auto tour route. My visits have all been in the spring, between mid-April and mid-June.<\/p>\n
