They are traditionally placed in the subfamily Polyborinae, but are sometimes considered part of their own subfamily, Caracarinae, or members of the true falcon subfamily, Falconinae. So thankful to have him home for a visit, however he re-deploys in a week for another year.<\/p>\n<p>OK, as i prepare to lead winter tours, I&#8217;m out scouting checking out locations, and came upon this kill.. hope this is a sign of a great upcoming season!! Certainly is getting off to a great start!<\/p>\n<p>These guys become quite territorial and were making a go of it, until the buzzards flew in.
