Seven more big cats at the Bronx Zoo have tested positive for coronavirus. This follows the announcement earlier in the month that a tiger at the zoo had tested positive. Four tigers and three African lions have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the zoo.<\/p>\n
Nadia, the four-year-old Malayan tiger, was the first diagnosis at the zoo.<\/p>\n
Zoo keepers became concerned when Nadia developed a dry cough and showed other coronavirus symptoms.<\/p>\n
The zoo reports that all cats have recovered and are acting normally. Coughing has also reduced in each cat.\u00a0According to the zoo, they believe that the cats caught the virus from an asymptomatic employee.<\/p>\n
