Crested Duck Lophonetta specularioides



The () is a species of duck native to South America, the only member of the monotypic genus Lophonetta. There are two subspecies: L. specularioides alticola (Andean Crested Duck) and L. specularioides specularioides (Southern Crested Duck). The Southern Crested Duck is also called the Patagonia Crested Duck and its range is the Falklands, Chile, and Argentina.
