My first visit to Elmley this year and as an official friend of Elmley that’s a little sad but the place looks good with plenty of water on the reserve and with it plenty of birds and a few Hares.

Short eared Owls at Burwell Fen
Another visit to Burwell where at least thirteen Short-eared Owls performed well all afternoon. Because there were a few about they called regularly and had a few interactions with each other and the local kestrels and crows.
