Fudge Duck on Holyfield Lake

Whilst in Lincs yesterday a couple of the local patch workers found a on Holyfield Lake in Lea Valley country park but we couldn’t get back in time so had planned to look for it this morning.

I set off on a solo run and despite thick fog managed to get on the Fudge by around 9am following a tip from another bird regarding the area the bird liked best. A quick call to let the Jims know it was still there and then I managed to get a couple of half decent record shots before it drifted away and became very elusive hiding in the overhanging branches of the islands for most of the morning.

Nice bumping into Bob again and Paul W for the second time in two days.

from the car park cross over the road bridge turning to walk up the river pass the weir and start looking when you get to the fishermans car park.

Lot’s of these guys around the lake.
One last bit of Fudge
The Red-crested was seen but never with the Fudge
