Just back from a week away in the Forest of Dean with my grandson with limited birding opportunities as the week was geared around ensuring he had a good time. I added a few year ticks with Ravens in the garden of our cottage and I twitched the Yellow-browed Warbler a couple of miles from […]

Cattle Egrets
A big influx of Cattle Egrets in Cornwall & Devon at the moment with birds turning up at various sites across the two counties, the largest flock had to be at Walmsley in Cornwall where probably seventy birds or more were busy gorging on Frogs. Quite a sight.
MacDancer
Yesterday Team Brazil (my brother Gidon, Ami, Eli and myself) reunited and ventured deep into the Negev Desert in search of some unique birds and mammals. Wildlife along the Transpantaneira Highway

The 147 km long drive along the Transpantaneira Highway is often described as the best road in the world to spot wildlife. The road links the city of Poconé and the village of Porto […]
Synchronized Pintails

They fly south to spend the winter along the east and west coasts of North America and across the southern half of the United States and into South America. Some pintails, like these two males, show up in winter at […]
