Wow! Glenn Bartley, that is one great shot of the Sun Parakeet! I am a birder from Canada. I’ve been in Guyana in and out since 1990, with 5 y living here. In collaboration with two ex- Iwokrama employees, we hope to interest the youths of Karasabai, one of the last places where it is readily seen, in becoming Sun Parakeet “custodians” of sorts.
