A few folks might call me eccentric, but passionate is a word I prefer. Either way I’m nuts about nature: I’ve given flying lessons to owls and played chicken with vultures, baited bandicoots with peanut butter and been stalked by a leopard in Botswana. Some less conventional past-times of mine include learning historical broadsword technique, caring for a veritable menagerie of sick and injured animals, blowing up our family’s basement (from my makeshift science lab), filling a bathtub full of origami fish, and researching predictive intelligence in dinosaurs (including a nasty scrape with a velociraptor I had on Halloween: http://bit.ly/sfxselfies).
