Glenn Perrigo

Born and raised in Rochester, New York, now a twice-naturalized Texan, Glenn Perrigo earned his Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Texas at Austin. I'm now a Professor and former Chair of the Department of Biological and Health Sciences at Texas AM University-Kingsville. I'm an avid field naturalist, photographer, and birding tour leader, with wide-ranging interests in biology, especially the identification and distribution of US and Neotropical birds. My passion for photography was ignited unexpectedly on my second of many trips to the Peruvian Amazon. Much of my photography is professional grade, so check out some of my organized sets and exhibits; however, nothing quite beats the fun of posting a day's field results — even if mediocre — as long as it helps my students learn too. Above all, strive for great images, but don't be afraid to experiment . . . and fail.
