In the Pyrenees mountains, the Yellow-winged darter

In , a gentle climb from a beautiful lake at 1500m high, leads to 2 peat bogs in the becoming. There, Sedge Darners, Four-spotted Chasers and Yellow-winged darters are the main Anisopterae flying around; the latter are emerging by the hundreds, probably more.

The highest peat bog is on my left here, but doesn’t present a photographic interest since the water is covered by dense vegetation but the beauty of the carpeting flowers is amazing:

Yellow wing darters are perched on nearly every Common self-heal, but never on the yellow flowers of the Lady’s Bedstraw! It a found in altitude around peat bogs and dams covered with dense vegetation.
