In Nebraska, two men were out hunting for birds and shot a bald eagle.
The men seemed unaware that these animals were in the area.
They were also unaware that these animals are protected under federal law.
It was even their intention to “eat the bird later” when they were questioned by authorities.
More people in the area are likely unaware that these birds are protected and that they are nesting in the area.
Please sign this petition to urge the Nebraska Game and Park Commission to protect these majestic birds!

What you can do
Support ‘Fighting for Wildlife’ by donating as little as $1 – It only takes a minute. Thank you.

Fighting for Wildlife supports approved wildlife conservation organizations, which spend at least 80 percent of the money they raise on actual fieldwork, rather than administration and fundraising. When making a donation you can designate for which type of initiative it should be used – wildlife, oceans, forests or climate.
