Petition: Tell Congress to Keep Wild Horses and Burros on Our Public Lands

The Wild-Free Roaming Horse and Burro Act of 1971 was supposed to protect these majestic animals, yet only there are on 64,000 wild horses left.

Herding areas have been reduced by more than 50% and almost 20,000 horses and burros were removed and put into long-term holding pens between November 2021 and October 2021.

Sadly, 244 were killed from various injuries due to being chased by helicopters.

On top of this, the Bureau of Land Management pays people to adopt these animals and many unethical people take advantage of the horses.

Agribusiness, mining, and oil companies are why these roundups exist and we need to fight against their tyrannical and unethical agendas and help save these beautiful creatures.

Please sign this petition to urge Congress to help keep wild horses and burros on our public lands!
