Research has shown that octopuses are sentient and intelligent beings who experience a variety and depth of emotions.
Despite this, some companies are planning to farm these creatures for food.
Some of the details from Nueva Pescanova’s proposal are that the octopuses would be kept in tiny tanks with other octopuses and be exposed to constant light.
This is despite octopuses being solitary creatures and living in the dark depths of the ocean.
On top of that, the proposed method of slaughter would involve putting the octopuses in freezing water and freezing them to death.
Please sign this petition to urge Nueva Pescanova to drop its plans to build an octopus farm!

What you can do
Support ‘Fighting for Wildlife’ by donating as little as $1 – It only takes a minute. Thank you.
Fighting for Wildlife supports approved wildlife conservation organizations, which spend at least 80 percent of the money they raise on actual fieldwork, rather than administration and fundraising. When making a donation you can designate for which type of initiative it should be used – wildlife, oceans, forests or climate.
