This isn't sour grapes as I didn't enter the competition. But I am disturbed by the winning photo as it involves the baiting of a snowy owl, an unethical act. Birds should only be photographed in natural settings and pursuits. The snowy owl is an easily tricked bird having little fear of humans and tossing mice to them is an inappropriate means of obtaining a photo.
