When this woman saw this little bird on Instagram, she knew that she wanted to go save him and felt drawn to the bird.
He was in serious condition, but she knew that she needed Munchkin in her life. The only problem was that she was in Maryland, and Munchkin was in San Diego.
She told the San Diego Department of Animal Services that she was willing to do anything to get him and felt an instant connection.
“There was just something inside of me saying that he needed to be with me,” she told The Dodo.
She was told that he was not very friendly and did not like to be very close to people.
However, as soon as the woman met Munchkin, he was instantly friendly with her. He crawled on her, and the rest was history. She felt like Munchkin had chosen her as well.
When she brought him home, it was like he had been there his entire life. He was happy and playful and loved being in his new forever home.
We love this happy ending for Munchkin and are so glad that he found his forever home!

What you can do
Support ‘Fighting for Wildlife’ by donating as little as $1 – It only takes a minute. Thank you.
Fighting for Wildlife supports approved wildlife conservation organizations, which spend at least 80 percent of the money they raise on actual fieldwork, rather than administration and fundraising. When making a donation you can designate for which type of initiative it should be used – wildlife, oceans, forests or climate.
