This dullish bird does not come often to feeders but I see it once in a while when I go for strolls in the woods.

Ce n’est pas un oiseau qui vient facilement à la mangeoire mais il m’arrive d’en croiser en promenade dans les sous-bois et c’est bien plus difficile alors de les approcher pour les photographier.

Here is a male perched on a red oak branch with a creeper. This first picture is severely cropped.

A female I met during another walk in the woods this summer; she was curious and tried to analyse me!

Une femelle lors d’une autre promenade estivale… curieuse elle tente d’analyser ma présence!

Fortunately, when the birds have not raided the bay bushes, I can fix a branch on the feeder and sure enough Blackcaps will appear briefly:
