Yesterday saw me visit Maridalen and Nordre Øyeren. Maridalen was extremely quiet although the Black Redstart was still present and attracting a stream of admirers.
At Nordre Øyeren the water level is a whole metre higher than normal for this time of the year but there is still shallow water and mud to find and numbers of dabbling ducks and waders are building up.

There were 24 Curlew and 22 Oystercatcher in Svellet which is just the start. I had expected to see my first Osprey of the year but didn’t although did have my first Chiffchaff and Snipe.
