Wall Brown (Lasiommata megera)



The (), also called is a butterfly in the family Nymphalidae. Its larvae feed on grasses, including Yorkshire Fog, False Brome, Black Bent, Common Bent, Wavy Hair-grass, Cock’s-foot, Brachypodium pinnatum and Annual Meadow-grass. It is widespread in Europe but absent from northern UK and northern Scandinavia.
