Le Trithémis pourpré
Hello everyone!
This is my first post here and I am really happy to join the Focusing On Wildlife team!
Thanks for your invitation, Ken!
When I’ll publish, I will write both in French and in English for better comprehension by everyone.
So, as a the first subject, Ken suggested this beautiful dragonfly!
It has a story since it invaded the south of France from northern Africa, migrating through the Strait of Gibraltar in the 70′, and passing the Pyrenees mountains from est and west in 2 separate flows. This year both of them met in my area which is halfway between the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean on the French side. It is also now present in southern Europe, in Corsica since the 90′.

Passionate about Nature and photography but mostly animals and birds. I live in France at the present, but have lived in Africa for 16 years and in the U.S. for 3 years and with Australia in mind for the future. With my husband, I created and managed a Bird Park in South Africa, raising mainly psittacines; the breeding facility housed over 1000 parrots at any given time. My photography is about sharing fauna's beauty with other enthusiasts! Equipment: NIKON lenses: 400 mm Z F4/5, 800 mm Z, 500 mm, 200/500 mm, 800 mm f5/6E
