A video that has gone viral on social media shows a lioness attacking a cow.
The incident that took place in Gujarat’s Gir Somnath district has gained a lot of traction online.
The video was posted on Twitter by Vivek Kotadiya, corporator of Keshod in Gujarat’s Junagadh.
A farmer came to the cow’s rescue and chased away the lioness.
In the viral video, you can see a cow in the clutches of a lioness.
The carnivore sunk its teeth deep into the animal’s neck.
A farmer seeing the cow’s plight walked up to the animals.
While the lioness held on to the cow’s neck and was in no way going to let it out of her grip, the latter struggled to free herself from the big cat’s clutches.
The man walked up to the animals and raised his hands and seeing this, the lioness ran away.

The entire incident transpired in the middle of the road.
The brave farmer in the video has been identified as Kiritsinh Chauhan.
