WWF Wildlife Mobile – the very first conservation mobile network

WWF has today launched an innovative new Mobile Network – WWF Wildlife Mobile. For the first time people in the UK with a passion for the environment and wildlife can generate funds for conservation every time they use their mobile phone. And it won’t cost them a penny extra.

The new, SIM-only mobile network from WWF promises ‘every conversation helps conservation’. And because it offers customers cheaper standard Pay As You Go rates than the other major networks, plus a range of competitive Bundles of calls, texts and data – it won’t cost you any extra to help safeguard the natural world.

Not only is it grea

t value, but customers of WWF Wildlife Mobile will also enjoy fantastic call quality with 99.7% UK wide coverage thanks to the partnership between operator Digital Spring Mobile and Vodafone UK.

Wildlife Mobile gives 10% of the net call revenues for conservation, which is ideal for the growing number of people with an interest in, or a concern for, the environment. It’s open to anyone – not just existing WWF members.

The rates are highly competitive; Pay As You Go starts from 5p per minute and customers get double call credit every time they top up. WWF Wildlife Mobile also offers great value bundles giving hundreds of calls and texts and large data allowances starting at just £9.50 per month.

So whether you choose the Penguin, Aardvark, Hippo or Rhino bundle it’s ideal for customers who want value for money while helping the environment.

The hope is that thousands of people will come together to raise £millions for conservation simply by talking to each other. With WWF Wildlife Mobile ‘minutes means money’ for conservation and the target is for customers to make 2 million minutes of calls by the end of this year.

It’s easy to see how quickly Wildlife Mobile customers’ conversations could make a tangible difference to wildlife.

For example:

a) A 10 minute call on WWF Wildlife Mobile could pay for six tree seedlings to help restore critical areas of Tiger habitat.

b) Just two weeks of regular usage on WWF Wildlife Mobile could cover the costs of a three-person community based anti-poaching patrol in the field for one day, protecting Tigers and Rhinos in Nepal.
